Traveler Vica

Two Seltan guards stepped aside as the doors burst open, forcing the men stationed inside to scramble out of the way. The old Judgemaster flinched.

Traveler Vica strode into the chamber, ignoring him and turning toward the assembled ministers.

“Well? What do the cunts say?” she demanded.

Chairs scraped against the floor as First Minister Fims and the Judgemaster rose.

Scene Snapshots

“I remember the warriors like you, Traveler, jackanapes and trollops of some holy vow as the war pressed hard,” said Lawkeeper Honara, now standing in front of her.

“Ah, you reminisce.”

“Yes, Travelers such as yourself, wielding the power,” she grinned, “the ones dead now, were not easy to kill.” Honara looked her up and down and tapped a badge on her sleeve. “Remember?”

Vica’s grip tightened around her hilt. It was all she could do not to kill her right there and then. Flashes of the Defenders torturing her for days on end rekindled the pain, then she surprised Honara and laughed out loud. “The power of the Ancient still abides in me, Lawkeeper, and all you possess are a few good teeth that I will gladly knock out.”

The Story

Dangerous secrets began to surface when a tower was resurrected in the overgrown ruins of Castle Brun. The first megalithic stone thudded with a loud crack on top of another, summoning the Great Apothecary and her beasts. The young king, his men, and two angry Guardians were reduced to meat—a meal for their enemies at the echoing of that thud. Escaping the fire became a daily trial—but survival required strength none imagined possible.

Set in a realistic twist, brothers, friends, and enemies grow together regardless of whether some must die.

Heroes? They still do not say the word; they are outlaws who found a cause. They are rulers who must choose. They are the enemies now trapped in truths.

From the frozen peaks of the ancient Seven Snow Realms to the outstretched wonders of the Great Lands below them, divided were two worlds—the Snows and the Tribals. Snows born to the power of Nohar were enemies of the lesser Tribals. But Nohar had faded, and secrets rose. The Realms raced to unlock the knowledge of a resurgent power that had grown unstable and dangerous for both worlds.
